Why from behind?
It's the signature. Backs, hair, hands, the way someone stands. The shoulders of a kid you're trying to remember at this exact age. A family walking off into the rest of their life. It's less about the face and more about the moment, and that's usually the part you want to keep.

How it works

Tell me about the sketch.
Quick form — who's in it, how many people and pets, what size, any caption you want on the paper.

Send me your photos.
1–3 photos per person. A standing shot is gold (helps me get heights right). For pets, ears + tail from behind is the magic. If your photos aren't perfect, just leave a note and I'll figure it out.

Pay. I get to drawing.
Pen and watercolor on paper. About a week, sooner with rush.

Preview, ship, hang.
I send you a peek before it ships. You get one free change. Then it's in the mail.
A few questions
What if my photo isn't great? +
Send a few. Tell me which one shows the face best, which one has the right outfit, etc. I'll piece it together. If I need more, I'll email.
Can you draw pets? +
Yes. Two pets are included free with any sketch. Each extra pet is $5. Photos from behind are the most useful.
Can I add a caption or year? +
Yes — there's a field in the order form. Names, years, "est. 2026" — whatever you want on the paper.
What about gifts? +
You can ship straight to the recipient with a card message. The order form asks where to send it.
Revisions? +
You get one preview before it ships, and one free change. After that, $10 per change (these are pen-on-paper, hard to redo).
How fast? +
About a week, standard. Rush is +$25 plus fast shipping if you need it sooner.
